Welcome to the vibrant world of the Amateur DanceSport Federation of India (ADFSI), formerly known as the All India DanceSport Federation. Established in 2004, the federation emerged against the backdrop of India's rich tradition of traditional dances. Recognizing the evolving dynamics of dance, ADSFI was granted exclusive authority for dancesport in India by the prestigious World Dance Sport Federation (WDSF).

Milestones:

  • Foundation (2004):

    ADSFI took its initial steps in 2004, securing recognition as the singular authority for dancesport in India from the World Dance Sport Federation (WDSF). This marked the beginning of a journey dedicated to elevating dance as both an art form and a sport.

  • Provisional Recognition (2004):

    In the same year of its foundation, ADSFI earned provisional recognition from the International Dance Sport Federation (IDSF), setting the stage for international collaborations and growth.

  • Full Membership (2009)

    A significant milestone was achieved in 2009 when ADSFI attained full membership status with the World Dance Sport Federation (WDSF). This not only solidified its standing on the global stage but also showcased its commitment to fostering the spirit of dancesport.

  • Vision and Growth

    With a proud network of 16 member state associations, ADSFI passionately looks towards the future of dancesport in India. The federation is more than an organization; it's a community dedicated to the artistry, athleticism, and cultural significance of dance.
